Miles For Missing People

FFAF HQ runs 10k to help raise awareness of missing FFAF fan Andrew Gosden & $$ for Missing People charity.
Missing People is a charity that provides support for missing children, adults and families left behind. They work tirelessly offering advice and support to those dealing with friends or family who have gone missing, securing publicity to try to help bring people back together and run a nationwide free confidential phone service for people who have run away or been forced to leave home and need someone to speak to.

With less than a week to go I have decided to run the 10k ‘Miles For Missing People’ in Hyde Park on Saturday 13 March on behalf of Funeral For A Friend to help raise awareness of Andrew’s disappearance, and hopefully funds for the charity.

Andrew loves rock music and Funeral For A Friend is one of his favourite bands. If every FFAF fan registered as a friend or fan of the band on Facebook, MySpace, Bebo, Twitter, Last.fm or any of the other social networking sites donated even just £1 the charity would raise a huge sum of money towards helping support people like Andrew, his parents and his family who haven’t seen him for 2 and a half years.

FFAF Writing Extreme New Songs

Funeral For A Friend drummer Ryan Richards has told Rock Sound that the band’s new material is sounding great as they continue to demo tracks for their forthcoming fifth album, the follow up to 2008’s ‘Memory And Humanity’.

“The new material is sounding very tasty,” he admitted. “We’re putting recording back until May so we can really get the best out of it. Extreme is probably the best way to describe it, make of that what you will!”

Singer Matt Davies-Kreye also posted the following on the band’s Myspace page last month, adding:

“I personally think you’re gonna love these tunes, I really do. They blow away thew cobwebs and make you want to finger point and scream at the top of your lungs.”

Exciting stuff. Funeral For A Friend head into the studio with Romesh Dodangoda in May, stay tuned for updates!
